This is the current version of the public terms and conditions.
1. Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of Alafia Central Mosque public website, donation services, public forms, donor portal, registrations, learning content, community services, and related digital services.
They are written for ordinary visitors, worshippers, donors, volunteers, families, and community members. If any part is unclear, please contact the mosque team for guidance.
2. About Alafia Central Mosque
Alafia Central Mosque is a house of worship and community service dedicated to the worship of Almighty Allah, Islamic learning, charity, community development, and lasting legacy.
The mosque supports prayer, education, welfare activities, volunteering, public benefit projects, donor transparency, and respectful community engagement.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By using the website or any related public digital service, you agree to use it in line with these terms.
This includes use of:
- The public website and pages
- Contact, enquiry, volunteer, counselling, Shahadah, and programme forms
- Donation pages and campaigns
- Registration forms for mosque activities
- The donor portal or other user account services where available
4. Use of the Website
Visitors and users should:
- Use the website and services lawfully
- Provide accurate and honest information
- Respect the mosque, other users, volunteers, staff, and community members
- Use contact routes and forms for genuine enquiries and services
Visitors and users must not:
- Abuse forms, submit spam, or send harmful messages
- Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, admin areas, donor records, or systems
- Interfere with website operation or security controls
- Submit fraudulent, misleading, offensive, or unlawful information
5. Donations
Donation options may include general donations, Zakat, Sadaqah, Ramadan giving, Qurbani donations, community projects, mosque development, welfare activities, and other approved campaigns.
Alafia Central Mosque aims to apply donations responsibly in support of its charitable, religious, educational, welfare, and community objectives. Campaign descriptions should be read carefully before making a donation.
Where a campaign receives more than needed, or where a specific project changes, the mosque may apply funds to closely related mosque or community purposes where appropriate and lawful.
6. Payment Processing
Online payments may be processed by approved third-party payment providers such as Stripe, Paystack, and Flutterwave when active. Manual methods such as bank transfer, cash, cheque, or office-recorded donations may also be supported.
Payment providers may have their own terms, security checks, and privacy notices. Alafia Central Mosque does not store complete payment card information on the website.
7. Receipts
Receipts are normally issued for recorded and confirmed donations. Donors should keep receipts and confirmation emails for their own records.
A receipt confirms that a donation has been recorded. It does not automatically represent tax, accounting, or legal advice. Donors should seek appropriate advice for their own personal circumstances where needed.
8. Refunds
Refund requests may be reviewed individually. Approval is at the mosque's discretion and subject to applicable legal, financial, payment provider, and accounting obligations.
The mosque does not promise automatic refunds. Where a refund is approved, timing may depend on the original payment method and the relevant payment provider.
9. Programmes & Events
Participation in mosque programmes and events, including Ramadan activities, I'tikaf, Hajj seminars, learning programmes, youth sessions, community events, and volunteer activities, may require registration.
Participants may be asked to follow mosque rules, arrival guidance, capacity limits, safety instructions, conduct requirements, and any programme-specific conditions.
10. Volunteer Participation
Volunteers are an important part of the mosque community. Volunteers must follow mosque guidance, act with respect, protect confidential information where relevant, and support the dignity and safety of worshippers, visitors, families, and programme participants.
Volunteer roles may be accepted, paused, changed, or declined based on need, suitability, safeguarding, capacity, or operational requirements.
11. User Accounts
Where donor, admin, staff, or other user accounts are provided, users are responsible for keeping their login details secure, using strong passwords, and keeping account information accurate.
Alafia Central Mosque may suspend, restrict, or close accounts where necessary to protect users, donors, financial records, security, programme integrity, or the mosque community.
12. Intellectual Property
Website content, articles, educational material, images, media, logos, page designs, text, and other mosque materials remain the property of Alafia Central Mosque or the relevant rights holder unless clearly stated otherwise.
Visitors may share public page links for beneficial purposes, but content should not be copied, altered, misrepresented, or used commercially without permission.
13. Privacy
The use of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy. That page explains what information may be collected, how it is used, how it is protected, and how people can contact the mosque about privacy questions.
14. Cookies
The website may use cookies or similar browser storage for essential site functions, account security, forms, and service protection. More information is available on the Cookies page.
